Requirements Specification

As stated before, this system is aimed at people having to prepare a meal on a short term notice. This involve several issues in terms of how they would access the recipes, as they would for instance have no time to go and purchase the required ingredients or utensils, or they may not have an oven.

Therefore, emphasis is put on the ease of access to the recipe suiting the particular needs and “cooking capabilities” of the users. These issues have been more deeply analysed in the Need and Task Analyses Chapter of this documentation.

This philosophy of simplicity and ease of use has to be strongly kept in mind during the design specification. This principle and the application of psychological theories of user interface design have to form the bases for the justification of each design decision.
